King Hall Faculty Sign Letter Supporting Sotomayor
Twelve King Hall faculty members joined more than 1,000 legal academics in signing a letter of support for Judge Sonia Sotomayor's confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court that was sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee last week. The letter praises Sotomayor as "a brilliant, careful, fair-minded jurist whose rulings exhibit unfailing adherence to the rule of law" and urges "her speedy confirmation."
Signing on to the letter were Dean Kevin R. Johnson, Associate Dean Vikram Amar, Professors Afra Afsharipour, Keith Aoki, Anupam Chander, Holly S. Cooper, Bill O. Hing, Carlton F.W. Larson, Evelyn Lewis, Cruz Reynoso, Madhavi Sunder, and Carter C. White.
