King Hall Construction Featured in Sacramento Business Journal
The King Hall Expansion and Renovation Project was the subject of a feature article in the Sacramento Business Journal on September 11. The article, "New Palace for King Hall," includes an interview with Dean Kevin R. Johnson, who commented on the numerous improvements the project will bring to King Hall, ranging from additional space, a better technological infrastructure, and improved aesthetics to improved disabled access and fire protection.
The article also relates some of the history of the project, which has been more than a decade in the making, and which is on schedule for completion in 2010 despite a brief pause in construction earlier this year prompted by the state budget crisis.
"I didn't know when I became dean I would also become a construction project manager," Dean Johnson said, adding, "I'm glad to be dealing with the problems of a construction project rather than trying to get a construction project going."
