King Hall California Supreme Court Clinic Launch Draws Coverage in Daily Journal

UC Davis School of Law's launch of the first law school clinic to focus on litigating cases before the California Supreme Court drew coverage in the Daily Journal. 

Beginning this fall, the California Supreme Court Clinic will give students the invaluable opportunity to work on actual cases pending before the state's highest court.  Under the supervision of clinic director Aimee Feinberg, students will research and write draft briefs on behalf of clinic clients. Students will be "researching, writing, re-writing, and re-writing again until the brief is first-rate," said Feinberg, a former appellate lawyer at Munger, Tolles & Olson.

"While several law schools operate U.S. Supreme Court clinics, UC Davis will become the first to exclusively focus on California's high court," the Daily Journal article notes, adding that "as the first of its kind for the California court system, the UC Davis clinic is likely to be closely watched for whether it brings strategic impact litigation aimed at influencing the direction of the law."
