King Hall Alumni: Get Ready for 2016 Milestone Reunions!

UC Davis School of Law alumni from the Classes of '71, '76, '81, '86, '91, '96, '01, '06, and ’11 will return to King Hall on October 22 to renew old friendships, celebrate successes, and reminisce with faculty at the 2016 Milestone Reunions.  Reunion Planning Committees are already hard at work to make this year’s reunion the best it can be, so register online now and reconnect with the King Hall community!

The Milestone Reunion is always one of the most enjoyable events of the year at King Hall, typically drawing more than 200 alumni and family members, as well as current faculty and emeriti.  Activities include a reception, a luncheon featuring remarks from Dean Kevin R. Johnson and Alumni Board President Alberto Roldan ’92, as well as tours of the newly renovated and expanded King Hall.  Very often, individual classes organize additional social opportunities throughout the weekend.

Reunion Committee volunteers play an important role in the event, reaching out to classmates to encourage attendance, arranging for evening get-togethers, and often organizing a class gift—a King Hall tradition that has supported student scholarships, the King Hall Expansion and Renovation, and other vital Law School needs. 

Volunteers already signed up for this year's event include D. Steven Blake, G. Richard Brown, Charles I. McClain, and Gary Solis of the Class of 1971, James G. Durham, Joan D. Durham, Chris Gibson, the Honorable Loreen O'Hare-Hall, and the Honorable Cerena Wong of the Class of 1976, the Honorable M. Kathleen Butz, Diane Dillon, Kathryn E. Landreth, and W. George Wailes of the Class of 1981, William D. Caldwell, Jr., Ron Maroko, Nancee M. Murray, Angela E. Oh, Fred A. Silva, and Linda Somers Smith of the Class of 1986, Craig C. Allison, Marc G. Reich, Amagda Perez, and Tom Phinney of the Class of 1991, Chad W. Carlock, Shawn M. Elicegui, Allison Lima, Jennifer F. Novak, and Bijal V. Vakil of the Class of 1996, Robert Milligan of the Class of 2001, Corrine Bielejeski, Allison Marrazzo, and Crystal Gaudette of the Class of 2006, and Shea Brack, Karli Eisenberg, Kelly Martin, Tom Rupp, and Maggie Trinh of the Class of 2011.

Class gift projects in progress as part of the Milestone Reunion include that of the Class of ’76, which is supporting the Edward L. Barrett, Jr., Scholarship and Wydick Family Scholarship Fund in honor of their namesakes, both of whom passed away this year. The Class of ’86 is making a gift to the Richard Archibald Memorial Fund, which was started by the Class of ’80 to support new attorneys going into public service. Other gift projects include the Class of 1971’s effort to support the King Hall Veterans Support Fund, the Class of 2001 plans to give to the King Hall Annual Fund, and the Class of 2006’s goal of giving to the Joel Dobris Student Support Fund.
