Keynote Address by Dolores Huerta Will Air on TV
The Keynote address during Cesar Chavez Week by Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers of America and leader of Chicana/o and labor movements, will air on The California Channel, Friday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m. Huerta spoke at King Hall about the growing anti-immigrant sentiment in the United States and what immigrants and advocates for workers' rights can do to defend targeted communities.
Huerta's presentation was the first Cruz Reynoso Keynote Address, named for the UC Davis law professor who was the first Chicano to serve on the California Supreme Court and who is a nationally recognized advocate for social, political, and legal justice.
