Judge Fall '87 Appointed to Resolve Election Disputes
Judge Timothy L. Fall '87 has been appointed by Presiding Judge David Rosenberg '74 of the Superior Court of the State of California, County of Yolo, to be available on Election Day, February 5, 2008, to resolve any election disputes.
Presiding Judge Rosenberg stated: "I have selected Judge Fall for this position because he is steady, ready, and unflappable. His many years on the bench will serve him well in this task."
Judge Fall was appointed to Yolo Superior Court on July 13, 1995, by Governor Pete Wilson. During his judicial career Judge Fall has presided over every type of case in the Courthouse, including the Criminal, Civil, and Family Law Departments. He served as presiding judge of the Yolo Superior Court in 1999 and assistant presiding judge in 1998. Judge Fall is presently hearing felony cases and serving on the Appellate Division of the Yolo Superior Court.
Judge Fall is a recognized statewide expert in judicial ethics. He currently serves on the California Judges' Association Ethics Committee and the Judicial Ethics Education Committee at the Center for Judicial Education and Research. Since 2004, Judge Fall has been teaching judicial ethics to hundreds of judges throughout the state.
In addition to Judge Fall's accomplishments on the bench, he is involved in various statewide and community organizations. He is currently a member of the Executive Board of the California Judges' Association. He often addresses local schools and community organizations on judicial procedure. He also serves on the UC Davis School of Law Moot Court and as a Trial Practice Judge.
