Janet Gaard ‘83 Profiled in The Davis Enterprise

The Honorable Janet Gaard '83 was profiled in a recent feature in The Davis Enterprise.  The piece describes how Gaard first became interested in the law after attending a local court proceeding as part of a police science class at Modesto's Grace Davis High School and went on to earn her J.D. degree from King Hall.  She has since worked as a staff attorney with the 3rd District Court of Appeal and handled appeals of sexual assault and child abuse cases for the State Attorney General's Office, and in May was appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as a Yolo County Superior Court judge.
