J. Angelo DeSantis Publishes Essay on Legal Writing in The Recorder

J. Angelo DeSantis has published an essay in The Recorder. In the article, "No One Wants to Read Your Legal Writing," he explains that, in the legal profession, our writing creates work for others. While a judge will read our motions, "we can't make our audience want to read what we write. But we can tailor our writing to our audience." DeSantis explains how we do that by making our writing short, clear, and organized.

DeSantis teaches Legal Research and Writing at UC Davis School of Law, and is a 2008 graduate of King Hall.
