J. Angelo DeSantis '08 Publishes on Legal Writing in The Recorder

J. Angelo DeSantis has published an article on legal writing in The Recorder. The article, "Defying the Engrained Rules of Writing," discusses writing "rules" with no actual basis in grammar, and how they often serve to handicap writers.  To illustrate his point, DeSantis quotes examples from the U.S. Supreme Court opinion on the Affordable Care Act, showing that even the justices violate these supposed "rules."

Angelo DeSantis, a 2008 graduate of King Hall, teaches Legal Research and Writing at UC Davis School of Law.
