International Human Rights in Rwanda
Hotel Rwanda, a film based on the true-life story of Paul Rusesabagina, a hotel manager who housed over a thousand Tutsis refugees during their struggle against the Hutu militia in Rwanda, is showing on Wednesday, November 9 at 6 p.m. in Room 2011 at King Hall. After the movie, a Rwandan journalist and UC Berkeley Scholar at Risk will lead a discussion on the events in the movie and the present state of human rights in Rwanda.
The event is presented by the UC Davis School of Law, UC Davis Scholar at Risk Program, University Outreach and International Programs, and UC Davis Extension as part of International Education Week.
