International Bar Association Foundation Appoints Professor Aldana as Trustee

The International Bar Association Foundation has appointed Professor Raquel Aldana as a trustee. Aldana will provide guidance for the foundation’s work on rule of law initiatives in Latin America.

Raquel E. Aldana, Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law, joined UC Davis in 2017 as the inaugural Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Diversity, with a law faculty appointment. She returned to full-time law teaching in 2020. Her scholarship has focused on transitional justice, criminal justice reforms, and sustainable development in Latin America, as well as immigrant rights in the United States. Aldana previously was on the faculties of McGeorge School of Law and Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
