Hussein's Second War Crime Tribunal

Diane Marie Amann, a UC Davis law professor, commented in the Star Telegram that she believes Iraq is too unstable to hold the second session of Saddam Hussein's war crime tribunal and that other war crime tribunals have been moved to different countries to maintain the trials integrity. "If this process is viewed as flawed, it may breed suspicion and contempt of U.S.-led efforts to establish a fair judiciary throughout Iraq," Amann said.
