Holly Cooper Quoted on Ninth Circuit Ruling in Law360

Holly S. Cooper, Associate Director of the UC Davis School of Law Immigration Law Clinic, is quoted in a Law360 article on a U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruling against an immigration statute that classified people with alcoholism as lacking the moral character necessary for citizenship or cancellation of removal orders.

Cooper said that it was "really refreshing to see a judge dip into the modern medical science and state, what I think, all lawyers and our clients have been feeling for a long time ... that there are good people that have addiction issues, and it doesn't have anything to do with one's character and one's morality."
