Harvard Law Forum on Corporate Governance Highlights Professor Miazad's Article

Professor Amelia Miazad wrote a Jan. 6 post for the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance based on her paper “D&O Insurers as ESG Monitors.” The article argues that the novel nature of ESG (environmental, social and governance) risks is resurrecting the promise of D&O (directors and officers) insurers as corporate governance monitors.

Professor Amelia Miazad is an expert on the nexus between corporate law and environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. Professor Miazad’s work has been published in the Vanderbilt Law Review, Minnesota Law Review and UC Davis Law Review, among other leading publications. Before coming to Davis, Professor Miazad was a Senior Research Fellow at UC Berkeley School of Law. At Berkeley Law, she founded and led the Business in Society Institute.
