Faculty Participate in LatCrit Conference

A number of Davis law professors are participating in LatCrit XI, an annual conference hosted this year by the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Professors Kevin Johnson, Bill Hing, Lisa Ikemoto, and Visiting Professor Keith Aoki will attend from Davis.

The two-day conference held October 6-7, 2006, is titled Working and Living in the Global Playground: Frontstage and Backstage. LatCrit, a field of Critical Race Theory, highlights Latina/o concerns and voices in legal discourse and social policy.

UC Davis School of Law hosted the conference in 1999. UC Davis Law Review published the conference symposium issue.
