Externships Director Bauman Helps Organize, Participates in Externship 11 Conference

UC Davis Law Director of Externships and Adjunct Professor Dena Bauman helped organize and participated in the Externship 11 conference, held Oct. 7-8 at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law.

Bauman served on the planning committee for the conference, held in person for the first time since 2018. More than 100 externship faculty from around the country attended, along with attendees from Australia and the Philippines.

Among the highlights were plenaries on the new American Bar Association standards regarding professional identity and cross-cultural competence, and best practices in remote externships.
