In Exploratorium event, Professor Joh considers 'Hacking the Human Genome'

In the Aug. 13 virtual program "Hacking the Human Genome," Professor Elizabeth Joh and transmedia artist Heather Dewey-Hagborg discussed the potential downsides of allowing easy access to genomic information via genealogy sites and other sources. The program was part of the "After Dark Online" series presented by San Francisco's Exploratorium.

Professor Joh's scholarship focuses on criminal procedure and policing, with a special emphasis on DNA evidence, undercover policing, and new surveillance technologies. She is the recipient of King Hall’s 2017 Distinguished Teaching Award.
