Doremus Quoted on California Emissions Law
The Baltimore Sun quoted Professor Holly Doremus, an environmental law expert, on recent multistate support behind California's struggle to enforce its greenhouse gas emissions law. Doremus is quoted that political clout alone will not determine the outcome of a court case. California must demonstrate "compelling and extraordinary" conditions. That is fairly easy to prove on localized pollution like smog, but harder when global climate change is involved, she said.
