Director of Externships Dena Bauman Co-Facilitates Workshop on Virtual Externships

On June 10, Director of Externships Dena Bauman co-facilitated a workshop on virtual externships. The online event, presented with June T. Tai of the University of Iowa College of Law, was part of the biannual Workshop for Clinical, Externship and Law Program Directors, hosted by the Association of American Law Schools.

The session focused on how the move in 2020 to mostly virtual externships may change the future of externships post-pandemic. In some cases,  virtual placements expanded opportunities for students, allowing them to work without physically moving to another city.
