Director of Clinical Legal Education Elected to CLEA Board
Professor Bill O. Hing, Director of Clinical Legal Education at Davis, will begin a three-year term with the Clinical Legal Education Association (CLEA) Board in January. CLEA membership is open to all people interested in using clinical methodology to prepare law students and lawyers for more effective law practice. Principal goals and accomplishments of the non-profit organization include: serving as a voice for clinical teachers and to represent their interests inside and outside the academy; promoting and disseminating clinical scholarship and research; fostering professional development of clinical teachers; gathering and distributing to clinical teachers information about issues and developments that affect clinical teachers. CLEA presently has more than 600 members. Professor Hing was elected to the board by fellow CLEA colleagues.
