Dean Johnson's 'Opening the Floodgates' Lecture to Air on UCTV
UCTV, an online video network dedicated to showcasing the excellence and diversity of the University of California, is set to broadcast "Opening the Floodgates: Why America Needs to Rethink Its Borders and Immigration Laws," a program featuring a lecture by Dean Kevin R. Johnson given at UC Santa Barbara, in which he explores U.S. immigration policy. The program's title is taken from Dean Johnson's book of the same name.
The program is available online and will be broadcast on the UCTV system several times from October 17-23.
Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
