Dean Johnson writes policy brief on DACA

Dean Kevin R. Johnson wrote a policy brief in response to the Supreme Court’s June 18 ruling blocking the Trump administration from ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy.

Titled “DACA in Three Acts: Genesis, Impacts, Future,” the brief offers background about DACA and discusses the ramifications of the Supreme Court decision. It has been published by UC Davis’ Global Migration Center. Read it here

Kevin R. Johnson is the law school’s dean,  Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
