Dean Johnson Speaks on Racial Profiling at United Nations Commission on Human Rights Event

Dean Kevin R. Johnson spoke at UCLA School of Law as part of the Expert Meeting on Racial Profiling held November 11-12 organized by the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.  Dean Johnson moderated a panel discussion of national and international legal frameworks applicable to racial profiling and spoke on immigration and border control as part of a panel on "Key trends in manifestations of racial profiling." The meeting was led by Mutuma Ruteere, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.

Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
