Dean Johnson Speaks on Immigration Case at Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence

Dean Kevin R. Johnson spoke at the Claremont Institute’s Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence as part of a “tele-town hall” event titled “Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Race, Immigration, and the Courts.” Dean Johnson joined Dr. John C. Eastman, Founding Director of the Center, for a discussion of Jennings v. Rodriguez, a case concerning whether undocumented immigrants subject to mandatory detention must be afforded bond hearings.  Dean Johnson has also written on the case for SCOTUSblog.

Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
