Dean Johnson Speaks at Black Lawyers Matter Conference
Dean Kevin R. Johnson spoke as part of the second annual Black Lawyers Matter Conference, presented virtually on Oct. 15 by the Law School Admission Council, University of Houston Law Center and SMU Dedman School of Law, in collaboration with the conference planning committee.
The conference encourages and supports law schools and legal employers in focusing on reforms that will help minoritized students thrive during law school and their careers.
Kevin R. Johnson is the law school’s dean, Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
