Dean Johnson to Speak on Immigration at Wayne State
Dean Kevin R. Johnson will deliver a keynote address at the Wayne Law Review symposium on "Immigration Reform: Problems, Possibilities, and Pragmatic Solutions" at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan on February 4. The symposium seeks to explore topics including criminal law and the fairness of immigration courts, the impact of the current system on immigrant families, the role of the states and federal government in immigration reform, legislative barriers to immigration reform, and social solidarity issues.
Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
