Dean Johnson to Speak on Immigration Law at Yale Conference
Dean Kevin R. Johnson will be part of a panel on "Critical Reflections on Contemporary Immigration Law" as part of the Critical Race Theory and Immigration Law Conference at Yale Law School on April 16-17. Joining the dean on the panel will be Muneer Ahmad, Professor of Law at Washington College of Law, Mae Ngai, Assistant Professor of History at the University of Chicago, and Michael Wishnie, Clinical Professor of Law at Yale Law School.
While at Yale Law School, Dean Johnson also will present his latest book Opening the Floodgates: Why America Must Rerhink Its Borders and Immigration Laws (NYU Press 2007) at a lunch organized by the Latino Law Students Association.
Kevin R. Johnson is dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
