Dean Johnson Presents on Immigration at ABA Commission Meeting
Dean Kevin R. Johnson presented his article "The Beginning of the End: The Immigration Act of 1965 and the Emergence of Modern U.S./Mexico Border Enforcement" (Immigration & Nationality Law Review, 2013) at the American Bar Association Commission on Hispanic Legal Rights & Responsibilities 2015 Annual Meeting held in Chicago on July 31. Dean Johnson presented his work as part of a panel that included Thomas A. Saenz, President and General Counsel for the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund, and King Hall Professor Emeritus Bill Ong Hing.
Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
