Dean Johnson participates in Promoting Diversity in Law School Leadership workshop

Dean Kevin R. Johnson took part in the ninth annual Promoting Diversity in Law School Leadership workshop, held virtually Aug. 13-14 by Seattle University School of Law, in partnership with Villanova University’s Widger School of Law.

More than 25 current and emeriti law school deans participated in the workshop, discussing such topics as deciding to become a law dean, succeeding in the selection process, and navigating the intersectionalities of race, gender, and sexual orientation as dean.

Kevin R. Johnson is the law school’s dean, Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and professor of Chicana/o studies at UC Davis. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
