Dean Johnson Comments on Obama Immigration Program for Monterey Herald
Dean Kevin R. Johnson commented for the Monterey Herald on President Obama's Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) immigration program. Dean Johnson provided background and insight regarding a lawsuit filed by Texas and 25 other states and a federal court order that have delayed implementation of DAPA.
"The state of Texas and the plaintiffs want to drag this out as long as possible, making it a presidential election issue and run the clock until it comes to an end," Johnson said. "This is a delay tactic to wait and see what the next president is going to do."
