Dean Johnson Cited in Huffington Post

Research by Dean Kevin R. Johnson was cited in "Breaking the Code of Silence on Race in Law School," an article by R. Kyle Alagood published by the Huffington Post.

The op-ed paraphrases from Dean Johnson's article "The Importance of Student and Faculty Diversity in Law Schools: One Dean's Perspective," originally published in the Iowa Law Review, to support the contention that "faculty diversity extends well beyond providing role models. Among other things, diversity brings fresh perspectives to legal topics, challenges students to think critically, exposes professors and students to innovation, and influences new scholarship."

Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
