Dean Johnson Appointed to AALS Committee
Dean Kevin R. Johnson has been appointed to serve on the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Committee on Recruitment and Retention of Minority Law Teachers and Students. The committee is charged with recommending to the AALS Executive Committee what role the Association should play in assisting member schools in hiring and retaining minority law teachers and students. The dean was appointed by AALS President Rachel Moran and will serve a two-year term on the committee.
Kevin R. Johnson is dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
