Dean Amar, Director Gapasin Comment on Cantil-Sakuaye Confirmation for KXJZ
Associate Dean Vikram Amar and King Hall Outreach Program Director Christina Gapasin commented on the confirmation of Judge Tani Cantil-Sakauye '84 as Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court in an interview on the Capital Public Radio news talk program Insight.
"I think everyone associated with the Law School was very proud," Associate Dean Amar said of Cantil-Sakauye's appointment. "She's known as an exceptional coalition builder and someone who cares about her community. She's given back to the Law School in a variety of ways and has volunteered for our outreach programs."
Both Amar and Gapasin commented on Justice Cantil-Sakauye's life and work experience and how they expect her background to be an asset as she takes her place on the Court.
