Commencement Ceremonies at UC Davis School of Law

This year, the School of Law celebrates its 36th Commencement with a ceremony held May 21, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. in the ARC Pavilion on the UC Davis campus. The Class of 2005 selected Tom Campbell, Director of the California Department of Finance, as the Class of 2005 speaker. Campbell is Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's chief fiscal advisor and oversees the development and implementation of California's state budget. Campbell previously served as Dean of the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and Professor of Law at Stanford University. He has also served in Congress and the California State Senate.

Other ceremony speakers include Dean Rex Perschbacher, Professor Joel Dobris, and Bruce Chang (Class of 2005). School of Law awards will be presented to Gregory Gabriel (Class of 2005), Law School Medalist, and Joe Adams (Class of 2005), Dean's Award for Exemplary Service to King Hall. The ceremony will conclude with the conferring of degrees to 186 candidates. A reception follows in the ARC Pavilion ballroom.
