Chronicle Lists Prof Reynoso Among Influential Californians

Professor Emeritus Cruz Reynoso was mentioned by the San Francisco Chronicle in an article listing Californians likely to be influential with the incoming administration of President-elect Barack Obama.  "Obama taps California's political talent," which ran in the Chronicle December 28, notes that in contrast to the Bush administration, Obama has appointed numerous Californians, including Professor Reynoso, who has been named to Obama's Justice and Civil Rights Agency Review Team.

A member of the UC Davis School of Law faculty since 2001, Professor Reynoso is an internationally known civil rights leader, the first Latino to sit on the California Supreme Court, and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor.  He has been awarded the UC Davis Medal, the university's highest honor, and the Law School has established the Cruz & Jeannene Reynoso Scholarship for Legal Access to help students with financial needs.
