Celebrate National Library Week

The Mabie Law Library is hosting a series of events during National Library Week, April 16-20, 2007. The week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April.

The week is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries—school, public, academic, and special—participate.

The Mabie Law Library has a staff of 18, including four attorneys, and six with library degrees. The Library provides research assistance and access to print and online services to students, faculty and others at the UCDavis School of Law.

Events scheduled during the week include:

Law Librarianship as a Career
Monday, April 16 at noon in Room 2064

Driven to Distraction by the Law
A game with pizza & prizes
Tuesday, April 17 at noon in the Student Lounge

Library Open House
Tour the Library staff areas and meet the staff.
Wednesday, April 18 between 2:00-4:00 p.m.
