Boutin Firm Hosts Reception for Dean Johnson

Dean Kevin R. Johnson was the guest of honor at a reception hosted by the Sacramento business law firm Boutin Gibson Di Giusto Hodell on October 7.  The event was organized by UC Davis School of Law alumnus Steve Boutin '72, a founder and principal in the firm as well as the School of Law's Alumni Board President.  In attendance were several King Hall Alumni Board members, including past president Thomas Stallard '75, Kelly Borelli '92, Charity Kenyon '77, Carol L. Livingston '80, and John C. Schick '72.  Also present were partners, judges, and other high-ranking members of the Sacramento-area legal and business communities, including former professional basketball star turned Sacramento mayoral candidate Kevin Johnson.

Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law.  He is an internationally recognised scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
