Austin Quinn-Davidson '07 is apparent winner of Anchorage Assembly race

King Hall alumna Austin Quinn-Davidson ’07 is likely to become the newest member of the Anchorage (Alaska) Assembly. Quinn-Davidson is the apparent winner of an Aug. 7 special election.

Quinn-Davidson, legal affairs and land transactions director for the Great Land Trust nonprofit, had nearly 50 percent of the vote in early results from election night, and slightly increased her lead as more votes were counted later in the week, the Anchorage Daily News reported.

Mail-in ballots will be counted until Aug. 17, but Nikki Rose, second-place finisher in the race with 31 percent of the vote, already congratulated Quinn-Davidson on her win on social media.
