Associate Dean Sunder, Professor Chander Present at China University of Political Science and Law
Senior Associate Dean Madhavi Sunder and Professor Anupam Chander presented papers at the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) last week to some of the top Intellectual Property scholars in China and graduate students in IP law.
Dean Sunder spoke on "Intellectual Property and Design Protection in Apple v. Samsung." Students said design patents are comparatively harder to acquire in China than in the United States. Sunder presented a draft of "The Law of Look and Feel," co-authored with Professor Peter Lee.
Professor Chander spoke on "Intellectual Property in the 21st Century Knowledge Economy." He argued that a balanced IP regime should promote innovation without stifling competition.
