Associate Dean Amar Featured in Arizona Capitol Times

Associate Dean Vik Amar's law review scholarship was featured in a recent article in the Arizona Capitol Times newspaper, a weekly publication serving the governmental and political communities in Arizona.  The article discussed Professor Amar's recent work on the Seventeenth Amendment to the Constitution, and in particular the powers that governors enjoy to fill U.S. Senate vacancies free from interference by state legislatures, an issue that could generate controversy in Arizona if Senator McCain wins the White House and would have to be replaced in the Senate by a Democratic governor.
