The Arc appoints Professor Jasmine Harris to its legal advocacy subcommittee

Professor Jasmine Harris has been appointed to the Legal Advocacy Subcommittee of The Arc, the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with developmental disabilities and their families.

The subcommittee collaborates with The Arc’s staff in determining whether the organization should become involved in litigation consistent with the organization’s core values and position statements.

Professor Jasmine Harris joined the King Hall faculty in 2015 to teach evidence and disability law.  She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Yale Law School and a former clerk for the Honorable Harold Baer, Jr. in the Southern District of New York. She has also worked at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr and with the Advancement Project, where she was a staff attorney with the Schoolhouse to Jailhouse and Quality Education projects.
