American Bar Foundation elects Professor Joo as a fellow

Professor Thomas Joo has been elected as a fellow to the American Bar Foundation, a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law school faculty and legal scholars.

The ABF states that its mission is to “expand knowledge and advance justice through innovative, interdisciplinary and rigorous empirical research on law, legal processes, and legal institutions.” Membership is limited to 1 percent of lawyers licensed to practice in a particular jurisdiction. Fellows are recommended by their peers and elected by the ABF’s board.

A Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law, Joo specializes in the areas of corporate governance and race and the law.
