Amar Comments on the U.S. Supreme Court, Diversity, and the Constitution
Professor Vik Amar was quoted and interviewed by a number of media outlets in October, including in an article in the N.Y. Times.
On Oct. 19, Amar participated in an all-day event at Pepperdine Law School on the new Supreme Court under Chief Justice Roberts. On October 25, Amar was one of two commentators who offered a commentary on the Kadish Lecture held at UC Berkeley School of Law, Boalt Hall. This year's lecture was given by Robert Post of Yale Law School, on the backlash some have argued Roe v. Wade created.
Amar was quoted in The New York Times in an article on the lack of diversity in large law firms; interviewed on television news in the Bay Area on the Supreme Court's decision to accept review in the Exxon Valdez case; was a guest on KQED (NPR's SF affiliate) on recent confirmation hearing of U.S. Attorney General nominee Mukasey; and was interviewed on KPFA radio on a proposed California initiative to change the way the state allocates electoral college votes.
