Allison Hayward '94 visits Professor Elmendorf's campaign finance seminar

Allison Hayward ’94, formerly of the California Fair Political Practices Commission, was a guest speaker in early November for Professor Christopher Elmendorf’s Election Law: Campaign Finance, Political Speech, and Rights of Political Association seminar.

Hayward was appointed to the FPPC in 2017. She previously served as vice president of policy at the Center for Competitive Politics, an assistant professor at George Mason University School of Law, and chief counsel to Commissioner Bradley A. Smith of the Federal Election Commission. Hayward has practiced election law in California and Washington, D.C., and is a member of the American Law Institute.
