Welcome our New Librarians, Alyssa Thurston & Ted Pitts
We are pleased to welcome two new librarians to the Mabie Law Library.
Alyssa Thurston, Senior Reference Law Librarian, joined the reference team October 1 and is providing research services to King Hall students, faculty, and other patrons. Alyssa comes to UC Davis from the Pepperdine University School of Law Library, where she served as Head of Reference Services as well as Research and Electronic Services Librarian. She obtained her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and her M.L.I.S. (with a specialization in law librarianship) from the University of Washington. She is also a member of the California State Bar.
Ted Pitts, Collections and Metadata Librarian, has nearly 20 years of varied experience in libraries, from work in a public branch library to a solo librarian in a contemporary art museum. He was previously the Cataloging Librarian at Fordham University School of Law Library. Ted's interest in librarianship is in removing barriers to access and creating connections between people and the information they need. He is excited to be here in Davis and to be of service to everyone in the King Hall community.
Please stop by the library and say hello to Alyssa and Ted.
