Collection Highlights - Justice Scalia
Antonin Gregory Scalia (March 11, 1936- February 13, 2016) was an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Appointed to the Court in 1986 by President Ronald Reagan, he served on the court for nearly 30 years. Scalia has been described as an originalist due to his interpretations of the U.S. Constitution. With Scalia's recent passing, President Obama commented on Scalia as a "brilliant legal mind with an energetic style, incisive wit, and colorful opinions," and "as one of the most consequential judges and thinkers to serve on the Supreme Court."
