About the Speakers:

  • Christian Paiz is a labor historian and associate professor of Ethnic Studies at UC Berkeley. His focus is on farmworker movements, interracial relations.
  • Joy Sales is an assistant professor of Asian and Asian American Studies at Cal State Los Angeles. Her areas of focus include social movements , transnationalism and disaspora, and Filipino Studies.
