Evelynn Chun '22 will discuss the growing impact of AI on the practice of law and the opportunities it creates for lawyers and clients alike. AI is transforming the legal industry, from legal research and document drafting to contract review and due diligence. As AI automates tasks that have traditionally been billed by the hour, it is raising important questions about law firm economics, pricing models, and how legal value is measured. She will explore what these developments mean for the future of the legal profession and how lawyers can continue to add value in an increasingly AI-enabled environment.
Evelynn is an associate in Goodwin’s Business Law department, and a member of its Technology & Life Sciences group. She joined Goodwin in 2022 and serves as a member of the hiring committee for Goodwin’s Silicon Valley office. Evelynn focuses on advising emerging growth companies and venture capital firms. She represents companies through every stage of the corporate lifecycle, including pre-incorporation planning, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, secondary transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
