Women in Corporate Law Panel

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the Business Law Society hosted a terrific panel of three women lawyers who practice business law. The panel was moderated by me, and included Kristy Young Coleman '08 an associate at Goodwin Procter, Kim Lucia '09 a partner at Boutin Jones and Tina Combs, a visiting lecturer at King Hall and formerly deputy general counsel for the University of California.

The panelists spoke about their experience as business lawyers (both at major law firms and in-house), what courses they would recommend students take in law school, the “business” side of legal practice, how to navigate being a woman in business law, and so much more. It was an insightful discussion with a large group of students in attendance. Kudos to the business law society for putting on this event, and many thanks to all three panelists for their contributions to King Hall. We are lucky to have such amazing alums and friends of King Hall guiding our students.
