School of Medicine Class of 2019 graduates

The UC Davis School of Medicine commencement was a wonderful celebration, beginning and ending with melodic bagpipes.  The student speaker, Nika Carrillo, who soon will be interning at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, gave a heartfelt speech on overcoming the challenges of medical school.  Dr. Jorge Garcia, a faculty member at the School of Medicine, gave a moving keynote address about how the kindness of his patients made him push through his early days as a doctor. 

The Class of 2019 was energized and enthusiastic.  The celebration was heart-warming and memorable.
